VPU (Voluntary Patrol Unit)....Learn more about it...

Recently this writer went on patrol and what an eye-opener it turned out to be. Together with Eddie from USJ2, Azhar and Private Asrul from USJ 8 police station. Our patrol took us around the USJ2 precinct. The number of houses we came across with gates not locked and a number even without their main door locked, other than their grill. Believe it or not, there was a house that even left the main door of the house ajar! It is little wonder that these days burglars and robbers are having a field day. People are so apathetic, it was just unbelievable!! One has to do these patrols to see for themselves. This made me decide that the best way to share the experience with forumers and residents was to put it all down in pictorial form.

Folks, this is a very noble and worthwhile project to protect the very neighbourhood that we live in. Come forward and join these volunteers. MC Mak created this and has continued to put the project to work. Everyone can contribute to make it a bigger success by just contributing 2 hours or more a month. Two hours a week would be even better! It's also an opportunity to meet other residents and your neighbourhood police officers. It's soooo easy to join. Just call Mak at:012 383 6508 or email him at : mcmak64@hotmail.com. and Mak will fit you in.
